The president of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alivi, is impressed with an energetic crowd in Lahore while witnessing the third and final T20I between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
“Pakistan’s cricket crowd never disappoints anyone. They know the value of the game and their passion is exceptional. You can’t keep them out of the picture,” Alvi said in a video message released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Mr. President highlighted the efforts of the PCB in restoring international cricket in the country which paved the way to capture some historic moments. “I would like to congratulate PCB for their tireless efforts in bringing international teams to Pakistan. I am looking forward to some more teams touring this cricket-loving nation,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mr. President attended a short ceremony on the breast cancer awareness program. The Gaddafi Stadium Lahore turned pink as the PCB joined hands with Pink Ribbon to aware people about breast cancer.
The players, match officials, and commentators don pink ribbons while match equipment and sponsors were themed pink.
