- City have won 22 of their last 25 Premier League matches – Manchester City to win 2.58
- Liverpool are undefeated in their last 43 home matches in the Premier League – Liverpool to win 2.59

- There have been over 2.5 goals in 9 of Liverpool’s last 11 games in the Premier League
- Odds: Both Teams to score Yes 1.5 | Outcome and both to score: Liverpool FC and (Both to score – YES): 3.74
- Liverpool have a formidable home record against City, losing just one of their last 28 games at Anfield against this Sunday’s visitors – the lone defeat being a 2-1 setback in May 2003
Liverpool has established a six-point lead at the league summit after only 11 matches. They are unbeaten in their last 45 Premier League home matches, last losing in April 2017. Klopp’s side has, however, conceded in each of their last five league matches at Anfield.
The Reds are hunting down their first title in 30 years. If Guardiola’s side win, they will go up 9 up and put some comfortable distance between the two sides. While Sunday’s match won’t determine who ultimately wins the Premier League this season – it carries a ton of weight as to who eventually will.
Klopp is understandably wary of claiming his side are at the forefront of anything. City have been the team to beat for two impeccable campaigns now – last season they added a clean sweep of domestic trophies to their impressive 100-point total in 2017‑18 – yet before the overseas money arrived they were even longer in the wilderness between titles, not to mention dropping as low as the third tier of English football.
City know they have to win on Sunday. The team have failed to score in four of their last five visits to Anfield but Liverpool are not as strong at the back at the moment as they have been recently.

Ederson strained his thigh against Atalanta on Wednesday forcing him to be substituted at half time. While at first the injury was not considered to be serious, he remains a doubt for Saturday’s crunch title clash with Liverpool.
Rodri is also missing following a hamstring injury, which is expected to keep him out until after the international break.
David Silva is still recovering from a muscle issue that ruled him out midweek.
Predicted Man City XI (4-3-3): Bravo; Walker, Stones, Fernandinho, Mendy; De Bruyne, Gundogan, Bernardo; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling
