Quade goes viral in US with freak NFL move

Aussie rugby star Quade Cooper has gone viral in the US thanks to a slick behind-the-back pass with an NFL ball.

Cooper was filmed working out with the gridiron ball and shaped to throw quarterback-style, before whipping a flawless flick pass to a running receiver perhaps 30m away.

Cooper posted the clip on on his social media and it was picked up by American highlights giant Bleacher Report. It quickly surpassed one million views.

Cooper is without a deal through this Super Rugby season, having left the Melbourne Rebels after last year. The 32-year-old also spent time at Japanese second division side Kintetsu Liners and may return to Japan later this year.

Cooper has spent time training with Brisbane Broncos star Tevita Pangai Jr while back in Australia, with all football now shut down by coronavirus.
