The Premier League will join the Bundesliga, La Liga, and Serie A among the major European soccer leagues to restart their seasons. While the Bundesliga resumed on May 16th, La Liga has targeted a June 12th return to action. Serie A also hopes to restart that weekend. This means that in just a few weeks, we should have a ton of soccer on TV as leagues around the world begin to emerge from the hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Fans of the United States Men’s National Team will be able to finally see Christian Pulisic, DeAndre Yedlin, and Indiana Vassilev return to the field. Liverpool fans will be able to resume their pursuit of a league title. And for all of us, all these soccer leagues returning, despite there being no fans in the stands, is the beginning of the return to our new normal.
