New Balance Release Laceless Tekela v3

New Balance Tekela v3 Released

New Balance have today revealed the next generation Tekela v3, the first laceless soccer boot from the brand. Gone are the laces, and in their place is a knitted upper that provides a clean, smooth strike zone.

Let’s be honest with this one; it is a wild design that could go either way for New Balance. After having so much success with the performance of recent boot releases, switching to a laceless design is a bold move. These could be really good and take NB to a whole new level, or they could be the type of release that sets the brand back after several top quality releases.

So, what are they all about?

Visually, the laceless design is the first thing you notice on the Navy Eclipse and Silver Metallic colorway. The full foot stretch-knit upper with an integrated hypoknit, laceless closure offers a secure and comfortable lockdown.

Then it is the Strike Zone, which features a unique kaleidoscopic palette of Varsity Orange, Chromatic and Atomic Yellow and Neo Crimson and Flame. Complete with this vibrant embedded pattern and new algorithm-driven KINETIC STITCH technology, the Tekela v3 offers high-resolution touch and a graduated strike zone, designed for “ultimate mastery of the ball.”

Underfoot, the sole boasts a lightweight nylon chassis with multi-directional TPU studs for incredible traction and acceleration on firm ground pitches.

Retail wise, they are listed as a limited edition release and are now available for $229.99 at
