The pair will fight for the IBF super featherweight title Joseph Diaz Jr. lost on the scales

The new Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. undercard is already miles better than the last one. Dan Rafael reports that Matchroom is “in the process of finalizing” the November 27th co-main event: Azinga Fuzile vs. Kenichi Ogawa for the vacant IBF super featherweight title, which the sanctioning body ordered last month when Shavkat Rakhimov withdrew due to injury.

Fuzile (15-1, 9 KO), one of South Africa’s best at 25 years old, ended a nearly two-year layoff this past May by finishing Martin J. Ward in his first fight since controversially falling to Rakhimov. Ogawa (25-1-1, 18 KO) is unbeaten in the last nine years and briefly held the aforementioned title after a later-overturned decision win over Tevin Farmer.

It’s a quality matchup is what I’m saying. Fuzile’s slick as hell and Ogawa’s no joke; even considering the circumstances with Rakhimov and former titlist JoJo Diaz, whoever wins can safely call themselves one of the best in the world at 130 pounds. Not bad for something that came together a month from fight night.
