REDcert

Established in 2010 by leading associations within the German agricultural and biofuel sectors, REDcert offers sustainability certifications for biomass, biofuels, and bioliquids. REDcert operates two distinct schemes:

  • REDcert-EU for sustainable biomass, biofuels, and bioliquids.
  • REDcert² for sustainable agricultural raw materials used in the food/feed industry and biomass for material purposes, including the chemical industry.

Over the years, REDcert has broadened its scope to cover not just greenhouse gas emission reductions and traceability within the biofuel industry, but also the sourcing of sustainable raw materials for the food and feed industries.
